A Globus Share will allow you share your files and directories to collaborators that don't have access to Talapas or regular linux permissions to read and write data.
- Navigate to the Globus Transfer Page, https://app.globus.org/file-manager
- Select "Talapas" as your endpoint
- Traverse to the directory you would like to share and click on the Share button (the top icon in the middle column with 2 heads near a file folder)
- Click "Add a shared Endpoint"
- Enter the Share Display Name and optionally a description and keywords. Click "Create Share"
- You will see a screen similar to below.
- Next, click "Add Permissions - Share With" button.
- Share with a collaborator
- User - enter a collaborator's email address
- Group - this refers to a Globus group not research groups on Talapas, e.g. hpcrcf
- Click Add
- Enter a message and if needed write permissions, click "Add Permissions"
- The sharing status of your endpoint is displayed.
