Data Movement

Data Transfer Nodes are available on Talapas. This is a dedicated resource for data movement in and out of Talapas.

This service is located at dtn01.uoregon.edu and dtn02.uoregon.edu

There are several methods for data access and movement:

dtn01

Linux tools rsync and scp are available

Access to Information Services UOCloud, /uocloud/<pirg>

dtn02

Linux tool scp is available (for example: scp file_name dtn01.uoregon.edu:~/your_folder)

Globus transfer mechanism for large data transfers across campus and to remote data repositories
